SKI TRIP TO SAN VALENTINO / LA POLSA ITALY
         By Carl Brennan

This February, a group of our TYs & 5th Year
students were lucky enough to take a week-long Ski
trip in the San Valentino / La Polsa Ski resort in Italy,
led by Mr Brennan and Mr Forde.

Our students stayed in the Hotel Bucaneve, which
was situated right next to the slopes and offered
breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains.
During the trip, our students took ski lessons with
         experienced instructors, and gradually progressed
to more challenging slopes as their skills improved.

The resort had a range of slopes for skiers of all
levels, from beginner to advanced, ensuring that
every student had a chance to challenge themselves
and improve their techniques. Aside from the skiing,
the trip provided an excellent opportunity for the
lads to bond with each other. They had fun
socialising in the evenings, from movie nights,
playing sports and games, a disco with other
schools and even taking part in an incredible night
time SnowShoe Walk, where they got to hike up the
mountain at sunset and take in a sky filled with stars
while sipping on a hot chocolate.

The boys also got to enjoy the local culture and the
fantastic pizza on offer at the restaurant owned by
Guiseppe and Elena, who made the boys feel part of
‘la famiglia!’ It was a wonderful chance for them to
experience Italian cuisine at its best.

Overall, the trip was a great success, and we are
thrilled to have been able to offer this amazing
experience to our students. The boys were fantastic
representatives for the school and the greater
Lasallian community. It was also so fantastic to see
the boys develop personally and socially over the
course of the week, get closer to their peers and
make memories and friendships that will last a
         lifetime.
