Transition year Activities
Reptile Haven Workshop
Another high point for the TYs each year is the Reptile Haven Workshop delivered by the wonderful
Melanie.
This very special, highly interactive and engaging workshop allows the lads to learn about and handle
a variety of reptiles such as corn snakes; a chameleon; a tortoise; geckos; bearded dragons, and a
Gila monster.
To finish things off they even got to hold a Burmese Python!! A truly memorable experience where
some lads got to overcome their biggest fears!
National Spring Clean
As part of Wellbeing Week, our TYs worked
hard while enjoying the beautiful Spring sun,
taking part in the National Spring Clean. This is
part of our Green Schools initiative to promote
cleanliness and environmental awareness by
collecting local litter and waste and a great
opportunity to work together and make a
positive impact on our community. Our
students cleared over 20 bags of rubbish from
Loreto Park, Mountain View Park, Riverside Park
and the Churchtown vicinity. Small actions can
make a big difference in preserving our planet
for future generations and it is so important
that we as a school community take care of our
local amenities. Great work all who took part!
