Message from
the Principal
Dear Parents and Guardians,
I hope everyone had an enjoyable and relaxing
Easter Holiday and that the staff and students of
DLSC are rejuvenated and reenergised, ready to
embrace all that the last term of the 2022/23
Academic Year will bring.
Please enjoy reading this Spring Edition of the
Newsletter! As usual it is jammed packed with
photos and news items describing events that have
taken place since our return in January. Thank you
to the Editorial Team, staff, students and past
pupils who contributed to this edition. There is no
doubt that the students in DLSC receive a well
rounded holistic education. The commitment of
staff, students and parents is commendable as we
continue to work together to create a warm,
welcoming and inclusive, educational
environment.
In addition to all the events you will read about,
teachers and SNAs in DLSC are committed to
ensuring that students receive as much support as
they need in order to succeed in the wide variety
of subjects they are studying. In some of the more
challenging classes like Maths and Science we have
introduced Co-Teaching where teams of teachers
and SNAs work together to support students,
keeping them on track and helping them to
maximise their potential.
