From May 8th to 10th, De La Salle College in Churchtown was abuzz with excitement as it
hosted its highly anticipated Active School Week. Designed to promote health, fitness, and well-
being for students, this event-packed week had something for everyone.

         1. Sports Day: On Wednesday, May 8th, the school held its annual Sports Day—a day filled with
fun and competitive sports activities enjoyed by all students.

         2. Colour Run: The vibrant and exhilarating Color Run during Sports Day allowed students to
run, walk, or jog while being splashed with vibrant colors, creating unforgettable
         memories.
         3. TED Talks on the Benefits of Exercise: Engaging talks inspired students to lead active
lifestyles and highlighted how exercise can improve both physical and
         mental well-being.

         4. Trip to the GAA Museum in Croke Park: Transition Year students explored the rich history of
Gaelic games and sportsmanship with a trip to Croke Park, learning valuable lessons
         along the way.

         5. Mind and Body Class for Parents: A special session on Friday, May 10th, helped parents
prioritise their health and well-being through mindfulness and physical
         activity.
         6. Drop Everything and Move Events: Spontaneous bursts of physical activity throughout the
week kept students and teachers active and energised.

         7. Charity Donation Days: Thursday and Friday saw 1st, 2nd, and 3rd-year students wearing
their School Tracksuit and/or PE attire and donating €2 towards buying
equipment for the PE Department, fostering a spirit of generosity and community.
         8. Salle's Fitness First Years Competition: An exciting competition between first-year classes
showcased their fitness and teamwork skills.

         9. De La Salle College Golf Classic: The sold-out event at Castle Golf Club in Rathfarnham was
attended by past pupils, teachers, parents, and invited guests. Following the golf, a
