Lasallian Competition
These projects were then submitted to the Panel, made up of De La
Salle Brothers and lay staff at the De La Salle Headquarters in
Castletown, tasked with the challenging job of judging the entries. The
anticipation amongst the students is palpable, as the winners and
certificate recipients will be announced on May 17th, the Founder’s Day
of De La Salle. This day not only marks the celebration of St. John
Baptist De La Salle's contribution to education and society but also
serves as a beacon of inspiration for the young Lasallians at
Churchtown.
The Lasallian competition is more than just an academic endeavour; it
is a testament to the enduring spirit of the Lasallian educational
philosophy – one that fosters creativity, encourages personal growth,
and cultivates a sense of community. As the De La Salle College
Churchtown awaits the announcement of the winners, it is clear that
each participant, through their engagement and creativity, has already
embodied the true essence of what it means to be Lasallian.
This initiative not only reinforces the importance of heritage and
community but also highlights the role of education in shaping
thoughtful, creative, and compassionate individuals. The Lasallian
competition has undoubtedly left an indelible mark on the hearts and
minds of the first-year students, propelling them toward a future where
they carry forward the legacy of St. John Baptist de La Salle with pride.
