U15 & First Year Football
By Mr A Campbell
The first-year team's journey to the FAI Schools Semi Final was nothing short of
extraordinary. Throughout the season, they faced formidable opponents, but it was
in the quarter final against the powerhouse Larkin Community College team that
they truly showcased their mettle. Against the odds, they delivered a performance
for the ages, overcoming a very good opponent with a stunning 4-3 victory. It was a
match filled with heart-stopping moments, where the whole team rose to the
occasion and left everything on the field. While their journey ended with a narrow
defeat to Edmund Rice School in the Semi Final, their resilience and determination
was evident for all to see.
Our U15 Minor Team's season was defined by remarkable achievements and
unforgettable victories. Losing only one league game is a testament to their skill and
dedication. Victories against St Aidans Community School and Stepaside ETSS
showcased their ability to rise to the challenge and emerge victorious. However, it
was the exhilarating 5-3 triumph over Ringsend College in the quarter final that truly
captured the essence of our team's spirit. Every member of the squad played with
heart and determination, showcasing their talent and teamwork in every moment.
Although their journey ended with a narrow defeat in the FAI Schools Semi Final
against Colaiste Pobail Fola, their resilience and commitment have left an indelible
mark on everyone.
On behalf of Colm Byrne, Mr. Mulderrig, and myself, I extend our deepest gratitude
to each and every one of you for your unwavering dedication and determination.
Your hard work, passion, and sportsmanship have been an inspiration to us all.
Thank you to Leinster Celtic for the use of their facilities and Damien Duff Park.
