National Gallery Tour
The group was lucky to be given a private tour
of the National Gallery, set in a stunningly
grandiose Georgian building, which houses an
impressive collection of works from an array of
different periods and art styles.
The museum’s engaging tour guides shared
fascinating insights about the artists and their
techniques on key pieces, including
Caravaggio’s Taking of Christ and William John
Leech’s A Covent Garden, where the students
learned to appreciate minor details and even
spot mistakes made by the artists. A wonderful
day of culture to inspire creativity within the
students, and perhaps their own artistic
Dublin Barista School Workshop
Our students had an incredibly fun and practical
workshop with the Dublin Barista School, where
they got to delve into the art of coffee-making
and learn how to brew coffee professionally.
From understanding the intricacies of espresso
extraction to mastering latte art, the workshop
was a comprehensive exploration of the world
of coffee.
Students had the opportunity to try their hand at
operating professional espresso machines,
frothing milk to velvety perfection, and creating
designs on top of their cappuccinos. This was
an unforgettable experience, which will
hopefully result in some summer jobs for the
students and give them a new appreciation for
the artistry and skill behind every sip of our
favourite daily drink!
