3rd Year 2024
By Mr M Forde
As we reach the end of another exciting and productive term at De La Salle College, it is
my pleasure to reflect on the remarkable journey our 3rd Year students have undertaken.
The dedication and effort they have shown in preparation for the State Exams have been
truly commendable. Their growth and development over the past three years have been
impressive, and I am confident they are well-prepared for the Junior Cycle State Exams
The last term has been a very busy one with extra revision classes, language clubs,
practicing study skills and exam technique, and after-school study on top of all their
involvement in extracurricular activities, Sports Day, De La Salle’s Day and the School
Choir.
As the term drew to an end, we held our end of year Student Award Ceremony where
numerous students received recognition for their unwavering commitment to sport and
extracurricular activities and their outstanding performance in the wide range of subjects
on offer at De La Salle College. Congratulations to all award winners. To those who may
not have received an award this term, don’t lose hope, keep working hard, stay focused
and you will get the recognition you deserve.
I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to all the subject teachers and Special Needs
Assistants (SNAs) who have played an integral role in guiding and supporting our
students. Your unwavering commitment and expertise have been invaluable in helping our
students achieve their full potential.
A special thank you goes to our Class Tutors, Mr. Campbell and Mr. Mulderrig. Your
dedication to fostering a supportive and encouraging environment has made a significant
impact on the students' academic and personal growth. Your hard work and patience have
not gone unnoticed, and we are deeply appreciative of your contributions.
