De La Salle College Transition Year Sports Coaching Module
Under the guidance of Mr. O'Neill, the
Transition Year students at De La Salle
College embarked on an enriching Sports
Coaching Module, leaving a positive impact
on local primary schools, St. Louis and Divine
Word.
Throughout the module, our students took on
the roles of coaches, imparting their
knowledge and passion for sports to 4th and
5th class pupils. With a focus on Football,
Rugby, and GAA, they not only honed their
coaching skills but also instilled a love for
physical activity and teamwork in the younger
generation.
We extend our sincere gratitude to St. Louis
and Divine Word primary schools for
facilitating this invaluable experience for our
students. Their collaboration allowed our
students to engage with the wider community,
fostering connections and sharing their
expertise in sports.
During the coaching sessions, our Transition
This Sports Coaching Module is an integral part of De La Salle College's commitment to giving
back to the community. Through initiatives like these, we aim to nurture a culture of service and
leadership, empowering our students to make a positive impact on the world around them.
As the module draws to a close, we commend our Transition Year Coaches for their dedication
and enthusiasm in serving as mentors and role models to the next generation of athletes. Their
efforts exemplify the spirit of community and collaboration that defines De La Salle College.
