Junior Rugby

                                                ‘Go forward’ they said.

This was the mission of the team!

Have you ever tried going forward when someone is trying to stop you? Have you ever tried to
continue to move forward and pass a ball backwards? The game of rugby is odd but perhaps that is
what makes it interesting. Makes it almost like daily life. This very issue. The people and the teams that
continue to move forward do ok in the end.

The De La Salle College Churchtown Junior Rugby Team of 2022/2023 took this mantra and worked
hard to apply it to the game, to their team and to their overall philosophy. Excuse the cliche but moving
forward in life is hard at times. There are multiple obstacles and hindrances that slow us down, that
might stop us dead and even send us backwards. This team has learnt that mantra, that going forward
is hard, scary at times but if done together can be all the more powerful.

We are very proud of the team and how they in the game and as a group continued to go forward. It is
this progression and development that is key to each of us as individuals, as a group and as a school.
We have gone forward, we will continue to go forward and are proud of that journey.

To the De La Salle College Junior rugby team of 2022/2023, thank you for every step you have taken,
for every corner you have turned and for every time something slowed us down you kept us going
          forward. We Are Salle!
