Table Tennis updates

It is incredible to watch our minor and junior able
tennis players rally with an opponent. The ball
moving back across the table at such a speed your
eyes can barely keep up. This is no visual effect but
instead it is clear that our teams are improving, that
the players are getting better and they are slowly and
incrementally building on their experiences and hours
          of practice.

Both our minor and juniors teams and players have
had very successful seasons. Our minors had some
incredible games versus Gonzaga, Castleknock, CBC
and Griffen College. Our juniors all competed and
played excellently in all of their games. They played
Blackrock, Gonzaga, Castleknock and CBS James’
street. Both teams consistently played to the best of
their ability and when playing against very good
teams they would always play every point and play to
the end. The teams have clearly grown and this
would not have been possible without the focus and
guidance of Eddie their coach. We are very grateful to
him and are delighted that the teams and students
have developed their love for the game and they
have in turn reaped from the game all that sport can
give. We will continue to play the game and look
forward to what the future holds for De La Salle table
          tennis.
