Seachtain na Gaeilge 2023

Seachtain na Gaeilge took place in the College from 13th-17th of March— A time to celebrate our
national language and culture on the run up to St Patrick’s Day.
A number of activities took place for students and staff throughout the week. 1st and 2nd Years
had the full cinema experience watching the Irish language movie ‘Frank & Róise’ whilst munching
popcorn from our popcorn machine.
Great fun was had by all 1st years and TYs as they learned some Irish dancing led by our resident
Lords of the Dance Mr.Forde & Mr.Brennan.
Lá glas was an opportunity to don our green jerseys in honour of St Patrick.
On Friday a flag ceremony also took place in, where students proudly raised the tricolor and all
students were given broaches from the Thomas Meagher Foundation .There were also a number
of fun Irish language and culture quizzes that took place throughout the week. Well done to all the
winners!
